[ Feb. 12: Seed swap and seed starting ]

It may come as a surprise to many people, but avid gardeners know that January is not too early to be thinking about and planning their gardens.

One of those avid gardeners is Josh Leveque, a Woods Hole resident, who is a professional horticulturalist and groundskeeper. Josh has been leading round-table discussions monthly at the Woods Hole Public Library since last spring, attracting enthusiastic gardeners, both amateur and professional, happy to have the opportunity to discuss their successes and quandaries with other like-minded individuals. The evenings have become a wonderful place for swapping gardening tips, suggestions, and critiques of varieties of plants.

A new series of discussions will start in the New Year, scheduled to be held on the second Thursday of every month at 7 PM (the first on January 8) in the Library’s lower level meeting room. All gardeners, of whatever experience and level, are welcome to come to these evening discussions.

For more information, call the Library at 508-548-8961.
