The Woods Hole Library is accepting donations for our annual Fabric & Fiber Sale as well as our Accessories Sale! If you are doing some end of the year cleaning of fabric, yarn, craft supplies, jewelry, and accessories, bring your unwanted treasures to the Library! Donating helps to keep items out of the waste stream and into the hands of eager crafters while also benefiting our community-supported village Library.

Please drop off donations during Library hours now until February 5!

Since 2015, the Library has held an annual Fabric & Fiber Sale on Super Bowl Sunday.  This year’s sale will take place on Sunday, February 8! The sale was started in honor of Fabric Corner, Falmouth’s former fabric store which used to have an annual sale on the same day as Super Bowl Sunday to give family members who just might not be thrilled about the football game an alternative enticing event.  This sale is a major source of fundraising for the Library’s operating budget. All materials for the sale are donated from community members, and the Library welcomes donations of fabric, yarn, and more.

We welcome donations of:

  • Fabrics of all types in usable quantities
  • Yarns of all types in usable quantities
  • Notions
  • Books and patterns
  • Sewing machines and looms

Please do not donate:

  • Draperies
  • Unusable scraps of fabric or yarn

Items that cannot be donated should be dropped off at a textile recycling bin, located at all of the town’s elementary schools.

If you are interested in getting involved by volunteering to help sort fabric and yarn in preparation for the sale, please contact us. We are happy to have more help for this fun and important fundraiser!
