On Wednesday, July 29 at 1:30 PM, join us in the Library courtyard for a fun demonstration of a “butterfly surprise ball”. This inventive creation was put together by Jan Elliott out of library catalog cards for this year’s WHPL Community Art Project. You’ll be able to see what happens when this clever little ball is broken open just right and Jan will teach everyone how to make their own. Amazed fans will also have the opportunity to own their own library card “butterfly ball” by bidding on one in our online Community Art Project auction. The auction will run from July 25-August 8 and features over 30 unique works of art created from decommissioned library catalog cards.
