The Woods Hole Public Library is once again celebrating the creativity of our community with a Summer Community Art Project featuring original works made by local artists. This summer artists and makers were invited to create a piece using buttons as a common medium. This vibrant display of imagination and craftsmanship will be on display at the Library beginning on July 21 and will culminate in a silent auction on Wednesday, July 31, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.
Community members of all ages have contributed one-of-a-kind art pieces—from whimsical collages to intricate mosaics—showcasing the humble button in extraordinary ways. The public is invited to view the art in the library leading up to the event and to join in the auction to bid on their favorite creations. All proceeds from the silent auction will directly benefit the Woods Hole Public Library, supporting its ongoing programs, services, and community initiatives.
This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate local talent, support the library, and perhaps bring home a piece of original button-inspired art. Light refreshments will be served during the event.
