Back by popular demand, Rusty Strange will offer another knot tying workshop at the Library in September. Rusty is a friend of the Woods Hole Public Library and librarians, as well as an accomplished ship’s carpenter and mariner.
For years Rusty has used knots in his daily life, especially when he lived aboard his boat Sun Seeker. He is utterly calm and competent in all he does, yet always has a twinkle in his eye. He is happy to share his knowledge of knot tying and when and where each knot is appropriate, and will be an excellent teacher.
Participants must sign up in advance, as attendance at this workshop will be very small due to COVID restrictions. It will be held outside in the Courtyard beside the Library next to the new “Circulation Window”, and will be held rain or shine, appropriately under the protection of sails stretched as a roof overhead.
