The Woods Hole Public Library will hold its annual meeting on Tuesday, July 14, at 7:30 PM. A brief business meeting will be followed by a presentation from Judy Laster, director of the Woods Hole Film Festival. The Woods Hole Film Festival is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, and Festival Director Judy Laster will tell its story of having grown from a one-day showing of five films upstairs at the fire station to today’s week-long, multiple-venue event that draws more than 1,000 entries internationally. Judy’s interest in film began with Thursday night showings at the MBL Club and has endured through a legal career when she ran the festival as a side hustle to becoming full-time festival director. The annual meeting will be held in the Library’s lower level Community Room and all are welcome to attend.
