Join Romanian artist Mihai Cojanu for a mandala creating workshop at the Woods Hole Public Library on Wednesday, July 5, at 3 p.m. The workshop is open to adults and children ages 8 and older. Mandala art offers an opportunity to create beautiful pieces while engaging in a meditative practice of self-discovery. Participants will learn about the history of mandala art as well as techniques for drawing common mandala shapes. Colored pencils and paper will be provided, but artists are welcome to bring their own preferred materials. Bring a compass and ruler if you have them! The workshop is free, but donations to the artist will be welcome, and Mihai will have finished pieces available for sale.
About the artist: Mihai Cojanu is an artist from Romania who has been leading mandala workshops for all ages for the past six years through his non-profit, MANDALART. His work has been featured in exhibitions and festivals and sold to collectors throughout Europe.
