Woods Hole’s very own Aminta Steinbach and her niece Amalia Sanchez travelled to the small town of Ukwala in Western Kenya for two weeks in July. There they conducted a Training of Trainers and taught 40 women how to teach self defense. Aminta and Amalia then supported 30 of these women to offer self defense classes to high school girls as a special addition to a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math camp curriculum.
