Izzie Williams, a retired marine biologist and resident of Woods Hole, will give an illustrated talk about her travels in Iceland entitled “Iceland: Land of Fire and Ice – A Self Driving Tour On the Ring Road.”
With her husband, Sandy, Ms. Williams drove Iceland’s Ring Road making a complete circuit round the island in 2014. She will describe their route and the various planned and unplanned adventures they enjoyed, including hikes, snowmobiling, and boat trips. They explored a lot of the unique geology found in Iceland, including the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, geysers, glaciers, volcanos, caves and waterfalls.
