The next in the Winter Travel Talk series at the Woods Hole Public Library will be held on Saturday, February 21 at 3 PM. Veteran traveler- speakers Maggie and Terry Rioux will show some of their spectacular photos and talk about their trip to Iceland last May with the Road Scholar Program.
They have titled their talk “Iceland; Land of Fire, Ice, and Great Coffee” which gives us some inkling of their adventure. They toured in the west and north of this island country, plus the area around the capital, Reykjavik. Along the way they saw huge amounts of rushing water, both hot and cold, as well as lava flowing from the earth. As with all Road Scholar programs, they had experts with them interpreting the natural history and cultural context of their trip.
These events are free and open to the public. For more information call the Library at 508-548-8961.
