booksale-general The Woods Hole Public Library will hold its annual spring book sale on Saturday, June 4, from 10 AM-5 PM. Every spring the Library holds a huge sale of second hand books in the lower level meeting room. Tables covered with books fill the room, as well as all the wall shelving. Every book in the room is for sale. The Book Sale Chair, retired librarian Camilla Larry says there are lots of new additions, notably a large number of books on Civil War history, all in excellent condition.

Large “coffee table” art books are also in the sale, as well as a handsome and enticing collection of gardening and cook books. Prices are very reasonable: $2 for most hardbacks, $1 for large paperbacks, 50 cents for small “trade” paperbacks.

In the “Kids’ Corner” are the the children’s books, most on shelves low enough for the younger buyers to browse. Standard prices of kids’ books are even lower than the rest of the sale.

After June 4, the book sale will continue during the regular open hours of the Library. All proceeds help the Library’s operating budget.
