This evening event celebrates Elaine Pear Cohen who was an artist, art educator, author and activist in the Woods Hole/Falmouth community for fifty years. The evening will start with a very short slide show of Elaine and her work narrated by her friend and co-author Ruth Gainer. Models of many of her sculptures will be on display.
The audience will be invited to join in reminiscences of Elaine’s life and work, and will discuss her many contributions. The Library’s Elaine Pear Cohen Collection, a beautiful collection of outstanding art and art education books which have been amassed through donations in her honor and memory, will be on display during the event.
