The Woods Hole Public Library will be holding their annual holiday book sale on Saturday, December 1, from 10 AM to 5:30 PM. After that day, the sale will continue during regular Library open hours through the New Year. The first day is planned to coordinate with the Renaissance Fair, just down the road at the Woods Hole Community Hall, so people can enjoy shopping at both locations.
During the sale, the book sale room will be full of books, not only on the shelves on all the walls, but also on tables which will be set up through the middle of the room. All the non-fiction books will be arranged by subject, and the fiction will be alphabetical by author, making searching for a specific book or author relatively easy.
This is the Library’s biggest book sale of the winter, and it promises to have something for everyone. Recent donations include books on history, jazz and blues, architecture, and a large collection of books about Cape Cod. As always, there are many volumes on gardening and cookery. A new additional category are the teen books, which include many of the new popular series. There are even many almost- new fiction books suitable for holiday giving. The public is welcomed in whenever the Library is open, which includes every late afternoon except Sunday.
All prices are very reasonable, with a base of $2 for hard backs and $1 for large paper backs. Special books will have slightly higher prices. Even though the prices for individual books is low, the event is a major fund-raiser for the Library.
