MARCH 17 SESSION IS CANCELLED

Thanks to a grant from the Falmouth Cultural Council the WHPL is able to offer young children an introduction to speaking Spanish. The six-session program will be taught by María Pechuk  who has been teaching Spanish to children since 2008.

Her program, called “Hola Spanish for Kids,” is  designed for children from Kindergarten through 4th grade.  The classes will be held on Tuesdays February 4, 11, 25 and March 3, 10, 17 at 4:30 PM. Classes are one hour long and the class size will be very limited so that the kids will get some individual attention.

Maria believes that children should have fun as they learn so she has developed enjoyable language immersion experiences. Through music, stories, games and dance the children will learn the language very naturally, from a native Spanish speaker. Small class size allows for individual attention, and the fun and relaxed class setting is designed to keep children interested while stimulating their learning process.

People may read more about her program at the website https://www.holaspanishforkids.com/.  This program is supported in part by a grant from the Falmouth Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. There is no charge for participants, but people must sign up ahead of time. For more information and to register, call the Woods Hole Public Library at 508-548-8961.
