The Woods Hole Public Library presents the fourth and last of the summer lectures in the Lassalle Dance in America Series. Thanks to life-long Woods Hole summer resident Nancy Lassalle, the Library has been able to offer a third summer season of lectures and films about dance, given by leading experts in the world of dance. This evening, Laura Ingoglia will present a program about Jacob’s Pillow.

Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival is the country’s only National Historic Landmark for dance, welcoming tens of thousands of visitors to experience dance each summer in the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts. Laura Ingoglia spent two pivotal summers at the Pillow as a young dancer on scholarship in the 1960s, and she now makes it possible for talented young people to follow in her footsteps. In this presentation, she shares some fascinating film excerpts and speaks about her connections to this special place.

Thanks to Ms. Lassalle’s generosity, the Library is able to offer all these first-class events entirely free and open to the public. For more information about this event which will be held on Tuesday evening, August 9, at 7:30 PM, call the Library at 508-548-8961.
