The Woods Hole Public Library is holding their third annual Accessories and Adornments Sale of new and gently used jewelry and accessories for men and women. The Library will be selling women’s jewelry, scarves, hats, belts, and sunglasses, as well as men’s ties, belts, sunglasses and hats (but not baseball caps). All these items have been donated to the Library especially for the sale.
Last year’s participants jumped at the chance to divest themselves of extra items already in their collections by donating them to the sale, as well as purchasing new ones at bargain prices. Both rooms in the lower level of the library will be filled with an attractive display of the donations, beckoning to purchasers. Expectations are high for a repeat of last year’s time of sharing, with eager buyers creating a scene reminiscent of Filene’s basement.
The Accessory committee is also plans to offer a few very special items in a silent auction. Last year, a soft and elegant cashmere top was donated by a local business, as well as a set of gold earrings and matching necklace.
