Susan McQuillan, registered dietitian, health and nutrition writer, and author of “Let’s Cook” and other Sesame Street cookbooks, is hosting an Autumn Tea Party designed to incorporate simple and healthy, kid-friendly recipe ideas that children ages 2 to 5 can help prepare.
Kids can sip on citrusy apple cider while choosing ingredients to help shape their own tea sandwiches and salad with ever-popular homemade ranch dressing on the side. The party ends on a sweet note with hand-rolled, no-bake, sugar-dusted pumpkin “snow cakes.”
Class is limited to 10 children, so be sure to reserve a spot soon by calling the Library at 508-548-8961.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Please note: We cannot accommodate any specific dietary restrictions, food allergies or sensitivities; however, no peanut, soy or seafood products will be used in this class.
Thanks to the generosity of Ms. McQuillan and Houghton Mifflin, the first 10 families to register will receive a free copy of “Let’s Cook” the author’s most recent book.
