The Woods Hole Public Library Book Group, started up again in January, will continue to meet on the first Wednesday of every month through the winter and spring. Librarian Kellie Porter who holds a Master’s degree in Literature will be leading the group. The focus in this year’s series will be on novellas, both old and new. Ms. Porter has found that focusing on short fiction leads to lively discussion by all the participants.
This second title for the discussion in February will be Train Dreams by Denis Johnson. Readers may borrow the book on their own from any of the Cape Cod CLAMS libraries, or reserve a copy through the Woods Hole Library where even more copies will be available. All participants should start reading soon in order to finish the book by the date of the meeting.
To sign up, or to find out more details, including a full list of the novellas under discussion, call the Library at 508-548-8961.
