Author Jerrine Wire, who lives in Woods Hole year-round, will be giving a book talk at the Woods Hole Public Library on Monday, July 16 at 7:30 PM.

Her novel “Beatchik” tells the stories of women who the author declares are “revolutionaries of the 20th century.” The stories originate in Boston, where the women were living a bohemian life. From there, they moved to Haight Ashbury, and other parts unknown and off the conservative beaten path. She claims her novel is historical fiction, but to her circle of friends the characters are readily recognizable. Through this vehicle she is able to retell the tumultuous days of the late 1950’s, 1960’s and 70’s.

Ms. Wire is known to be an entertaining speaker, and an avid member of the writing world. She is currently working on a book about Vincent Van Gogh.
