The Woods Hole Public Library will show the newly released popular film adaptation of Downton Abbey on the afternoon of Wednesday, January 15 at 2 PM. To celebrate, the Library is preceding the film with a tea party with fine china, a spot of tea, and delicious (historic) treats. People should feel free to get in the spirit and don their finery from the late Victorian or Edwardian eras (even garments from the teens, if they dare). The Tea Shop will open at 1 PM and the film will start at 2 PM. Attending the movie is free, but there will be a small suggested donation for treats to benefit the library.
Due to popular demand, we will be screening Downton Abbey for a second time on Wednesday, Jan. 22, this time in the evening at 7pm. Please note, this is only a screening and no tea will be officially served! Viewers are welcome to get into the spirit, however, by donning their finery and bringing their own posh snacks to enjoy.
