The Woods Hole Public Library will start their autumn documentary film series on Wednesday, October 9 at 7 PM, followed by a repeat performance on Thursday, October 10 at 4 PM. This free screening is a collaboration with POV, the award-winning independent nonfiction film series on PBS. (www.pbs.org/pov)

Following in the wake of the student-led climate strike of September 20, this first film is “Inventing Tomorrow” a documentary film by Laura Nix which shows passionate teenage innovators from around the globe creating cutting-edge solutions to confront the world’s environmental threats- found right in their own backyards—while navigating the doubts and insecurities that mark adolescence. The film-maker follows these inspiring teens as they prepare their projects for the largest convening of high school scientists in the world: the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.

The screenings have been scheduled particularly for the convenience of high school students who are encouraged to attend this free event at the Library at 581 Woods Hole Road.
