Event Details

This is the final culminating part of a series of Monarch Butterfly Events, Monarch Day, in which Becky Lash will give a presentation to an audience of all ages, and release one of the last butterflies (hopefully) to emerge from its chrysalis.

Following Monarch costume and other Monarch related craft making workshops held, respectively, on the previous 2 Saturday afternoons, this Saturday event on October 7, at 2 PM will feature Becky herself appearing and talking about the Monarchs. As always, she will present the story of the Monarchs and their life cycle in an understandable, yet gripping manner, which will appeal to all ages. After the talk, the group will move outside to release a Monarch and walk around in costume, viewing local habitat and celebrating this iconic migratory insect.

For more information about this event, which is free and open to the public, and aimed at children, (although adults are certainly welcome) please see the Monarch Butterfly Event page or call the Library at 508-548-8961.
