The Woods Hole Public Library will hold their eagerly awaited annual Spring Plant Sale this year on Saturday, May 14 from 9 to 12 on the library lawn at 581 Woods Hole Road.
As usual, all the plants come from members’ gardens and are donated to the sale, which is a major fund-raiser for the library. Usually an assortment of divided perennials and shrubs is available, as well as starter vegetables and flowers. House plants as well as tubers, corms, and bulbs are part of the mix. Local gardeners always flock to the sale to find plants that are particularly well suited to the conditions here.
People are still welcome to donate plants up until the afternoon of Friday, May 13. Plants can be dropped off at the library courtyard. Composted soil and pots and labels are available in the courtyard for people who still need to dig up their plants and pot them up, and label them for the sale.
