Chesna Mandl is a Volunteer Puppy Raiser for the Guide Dog Foundation, a nonprofit that provides service animals at no cost to those with disabilities. She recently relocated to Woods Hole with her dog for a Research Assistant position at WHOI. She is currently raising her third future assistant dog, Ann, who is an 8 month old puppy on track to become a seeing eye dog. Chesna will be sharing her experience as a puppy raiser, showing off some of Ann’s tricks, and answering any questions people may have about service animals, raising assistance dogs, and other ways to get involved.
