Join us for our next installment of our Theater Thursday series with a screening of Kinky Boots. Inspired by a true story, Kinky Boots tells the story of Charlie Price, whose inheritance of a shoe factory from his father leads to an unlikely partnership. To preserve his father’s legacy, Charlie recruits the help of cabaret performer and drag queen Lola to produce a line of high-heeled boots. The production that will be screened at the Woods Hole Public Library was captured live at the Adelphi Theatre in 2018. This Tony Award-winning production about embracing differences features songs by Cyndi Lauper, was written by Harvey Fierstein, and was directed by Jerry Mitchell & Brett Sullivan.
This screening is free and open to the public and will be held in the Library’s lower level Community Room.
