Armchair travelers are invited to travel to Africa at the Woods Hole Public Library on Saturday, March 2, at 1:30 PM. Maggie and Terry Rioux will share their experiences and photographs from their trip to Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Botswana in May of 2023. On their safari, they walked along a rain forest trail within view of the World Heritage Victoria Falls, visited local markets and schools in Zimbabwe, stayed in a game lodge in Hwange National Forest, cruised along the Chobe River within view of elephants, hippos and crocodiles, and viewed incredible wildlife in the Okavango Delta. Maggie cites the wonderful people, fabulous animals, and getting close to the animals and the environment as highlights of the trip, and says that it was “just a wicked cool place!”
This free talk will be held in the Library’s lower level meeting room. All are welcome to attend!
