Event Details

Maggie Rioux and her husband Terry have long been avid Harry Potter fans. They have merged this fascination with the work of British author J.K. Rowling with their love of travelling, especially to  England, by taking a trip tracking places that occur in the stories or were used in the films. The Rioux’s  will share stories and photographs of their trip at the Woods Hole Public Library as part of the Library’s series of Winter Travel Talks.

As Maggie has said “If you’re any kind of a Potterhead, you’ll understand what fun it was to visit some of the locations that were inspirations for the stories, sites used in the films, and also the theme park experiences – Universal Orlando and the Studio Experience in England. We’ll take you to some of the places we’ve discovered in our travels.” She adds that this presentation is “suitable for anyone old enough to have enjoyed ALL the books and films (the original seven-book canon, that is)”.

This event is free and open to the public. It will be held in the meeting room on the lower level, which is easily handicapped accessible. For more information, call the Library at 508-548-8961.
