The next in the Woods Hole Public Library’s Winter Travel Talks will be on Saturday, March 5 at 3PM and will feature Maggie and Terry Rioux speaking about their recent trip to Scotland with Road Scholar, the educational and travel program created especially for seniors. The two-week “On the Road” program moved around Scotland spending three nights in Glasgow, then two nights each in four other interesting locations, before ending up with two nights in Edinburgh. It included visits to a wide variety of historic sites, activities and learning experiences ranging from the Western Isles to the site of the 1746 Culloden battle and a stay in a haunted castle. Visiting these sites included talks on history, geography, geology, music, people, and lots of interesting food, including, of course, haggis.

The Rioux’s will illustrate their talk with lots of beautiful photographs. The event is guaranteed to be informative and entertaining. As always, the talk is free and open to the public. Parking is available at the museum next door. For more information, call the Library at 508-548-8961.
