  • Date:

Continuing in his winter tradition of teaching the important skills of knot tying and rope work, Captain Steve Wagner will teach a workshop on how to create heaving lines. He will first tell the history of heaving lines and the knots that have been used through the years. The elaborate knot, basically a monkey’s fist, is used at the end of the line as a weight to carry the line as far and as accurately as possible. Interested people should call the Library at 508-548-8961 to register soon as the group will be restricted to twelve people. There will be a small materials charge.
